Prepare customer records carefully
Many errors come from incomplete data or details copied afresh each time. Keeping customers, descriptions and terms in reusable records reduces rejections and speeds up issuing invoices.
Check the status updates
After sending an invoice through SDI (Italy’s Interchange System), check the outcome and keep it linked to the document. If it is rejected, correct the data and issue it again according to your advisor’s guidance.
Keep your workflow organized
Use a consistent process for drafting, checking, sending and preserving invoices. If you have an Italian partita IVA (VAT number for self-employed people and businesses), ask your accountant how the rules apply to your specific tax position.
